This is actually pretty old, it's something that I did on tegaki and really liked, but it was really messy and needed work. Today I imported it to photoshop and started it up again, fixing aspects until I was satisfied, just as a casual thing to distract me from my ten-page paper due friday that I haven't started yet...
I rather like the result. Comments
You might rather like the result but good god, i FCKING love the result.
I second what the guy up there said, I cant find words to describe how awesome I think the clouds are. Seems like I could stare at this pic for a good hour without being tired of it. Am I going crazy or do I see people standing on top of those buildings? (Well there is at least one I can confirm for sure) Anyhow, pretty amazing color choice Serainlove, Im proud of you You know the holy grail of art: have people look at it for longer than you to create it. EVERY DAY I GET CLOSER TO ACHIEVING IT!
There's only one that I intended xD all the 'others' were achieved through extremely large unwieldy tegaki brushes. Thank you baby. This was mostly made during my "I will use strange colors for everything and it will look cool!" phase. Even when I went back to this one... it still looked cool. I guess I was lucky, hah ha. Oh man, again, gotta admire your ability to use basically only one color, but use so many tones on the spectrum that it creates such a bright and deep looking piece. I usually don't think of green when I see clouds, but the hints you put in are a really nice touch! And I like the 'OPEN' sign for some strange reason XD

Very moody setting, the silhouette buildings are convincing but really secondary to that amazing light show. I like the little bits of information that reward the closer view, the figure, the "open" sign, street lamps and weathervanes. They're interesting but seem unimportant compared to the big picture.
A beautiful painting, impressive coloring, great sense of mood.
The only complaint I have are the olive green boxes on the bottom right corner. I know that's part of the building and everything, but I would have liked it just black, you know? Bright red, then just...black. Like a silhouette. I think the red would pop even more then.
