Fucking Ants!

So, my mom and the rest of my family have left to China for vacationing purposes, and I've been left in the care of my awesomely cool Uncle, and his family. I visit home nearly every day, and every other day. I do the usual stuff, like feeding our parakeets, getting the mail, laundry, washing dishes, etc. But... after not coming to my house for two days... fucking ants appeared!

Ants are apparently dumber than rocks. Of all places with food, the place they choose to invade was my freezer. We have one of those family-sized refrigerators were the freezer is located on top of the refrigerator, and takes about 1/3 of the overall volume. When I opened the freezer door, ants were crawling around it! Futhermore, a large number of ants were already inside, chilling (pardon the pun for fellow Californians) their butts on the ledge.

Apparently they had never made it to the actual food. They were, for some strange reason, continuing the assault on my freezer despite having frozen hundreds of their little butts.

And there was not an ant in my refrigerator, just in the freezer.

Now I sit here, typing, taking a well deserved break after half an hour of valiantly wielding a large can of Grant's Ant and Spider Killer (which I had to buy myself, as we have not had an ant attack in a year) in one hand, a napkin in the other - all the while wearing my heroic yellow rubber dishwashing gloves.

All ants, I think, should die. I don't care what ecological niche they occupy, but the world can surely do better without them. Mosquitoes too. What kind of niche is there for an animal that a) sucks blood and b) gives malaria? There isn't. The world won't be any different if both these creatures are wiped off the face of the earth. Don't try to correct me.

...Fucking ants. I was looking forward to a relaxing evening of playing Metal Gear Solid.

I have to go sweep up more ants now.
